There are many ways to ensure the health and safety of black children. Black Child Welfare has dedicated its mission to changing the narrative about Black children and families via educating the public/ service providers and by advocating for cultural awareness and the implementation of strategies that will reduce inequities and address implicit biases.

We also understand the importance of educating the community on issues concerning child welfare and and how to interact with the systemic infrastructure in place to protect children knowledgably.

We must proactively work on prevention strategies that will reduce and/or eliminate disproportionality concerning Black Children in the child welfare system.
